- The Charlottesville Planning Commission meets from 6-8pm Tuesday, September 10 in City Council Chambers at City Hall. The agenda includes a rezoning request that would allow a parcel adjacent to the soon-to-come City Walk apartments to be redeveloped with 24 single-family-unit homes and a 43,500-square-foot commercial building.
- The Senior Statesmen of Virginia will host a City Council candidates forum from 1:30-3pm Wednesday, September 11, at the Senior Center at 1180 Pepsi Place. Coy Barefoot will moderate.
- The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors meets from 6-9pm Wednesday, with a work session on the Comprehensive Plan preceding the meeting from 3:30-5:30. The regular agenda includes a few special use permits, and a request from Stonefield’s developers for permission to make an unspecified change to its development plan.
- Another Our Town Charlottesville town hall-style meeting, this time focused on the Fry’s Spring and Johnson Village neighborhoods, takes place from 6-8pm Thursday, September 12 at Jackson-Via Elementary. City Councilors and other City officials will be present, allowing people to raise personal concerns about the neighborhood and the city.
