We caught you looking sweet!

Karrie Bos

Occupation: Sales at NBC-29

Where we spotted her: Downtown Mall

Style sense: Bos says her fun, eclectic style is like Audrey Hepburn’s, but “more excessive.” Turquoise is her favorite color; her top is from Target and her skirt is from Marshalls. She found her belt at Ruggi’s and says she has no idea where she got her shoes; they’re “ancient.” Her mom gave her the earrings and watch as a gift, a friend gave her the sunglasses, and she’s wearing her grandma’s ring.

Laura Spurlock

Occupation: Third-year student at UVA

Where we spotted her: Downtown Mall

Style sense: Laura says her style is eclectic and that she wears a lot of jewelry that’s personal—for example, wooden beads she got in Ecuador on an “alternative spring break.” Her halter top is Michael Kors, her linen skirt is from Banana Republic, and her bag is Coach. She doesn’t remember where she got her shoes, but says they’re really comfy.

Catherine Alexander

Occupation: Works at Georgie

Where we spotted here: West Main Street

Style sense: Catherine got her master’s in fashion in Milan, Italy. She loves everything vintage and is wearing a vintage belt from Goodwill and a vintage shirt. Her thong sandals are from Target, her jeans are Citizens of Humanity, and she got her hoop earrings when she was living in Italy.

Elisabeth Greenbaum

Occupation: Property manager

Where we spotted her: Downtown Mall

Style sense: Elisabeth absolutely loves clothes and shoes. She gets her fashion from the mannequins at the mall—“They always looks so good so I just buy what they wear!” she says. Her jacket is from Steinmart in Richmond, her funky necklace is from Martha’s Market, her black pointy shoes are from DKNY, and her black dress is from Levys.

Emily Cox

Occupation: Cellist; clerk at Cha Cha’s

Where we spotted her: Downtown Mall

Style sense: Emily says she goes for vintage stuff from the 1950s and ‘60s, and loves secondhand stores—especially Glad Rags, where she used to work. She’s also inspired by her mom’s style. Her coat is Free People from Finch, her jeans are Edun from Elsie Garden, and her shoes are Dansko.

Melissa Hudson

Occupation: Fourth-year student at UVA

Where we spotted her: On Grounds

Style sense: Originally from Los Angeles, Melissa describes her style as “beachy.” She likes simple, earthy tones, and she likes to add a small piece of pizzaz to each outfit, like a necklace. She also likes to wear boy’s clothes sometimes because she likes the loose fit and the style, as with the Nixon watch on her wrist. Her shorts are from Urban Outfitters (her favorite place to shop), her shirt is from Nordstrom, her purse is Coach, and her sandals are Rainbows from the outlet store in California.
