Watch General Assembly live on a screen near you

No need to travel to Richmond to watch the General Assembly in action. Via a live stream, you can enjoy every House or Senate vote and take in every oddly formal/childish debate that takes place on the floor.

Naturally, a few minutes into today’s session, partisan bickering broke out in the House about whether to seat Charniele Herring (D-Alexandria), who beat out Republican Joe Murray by 16 votes yesterday in a special election to fill Brian Moran’s seat after he resigned to run fulltime for governor. Ah, our tax dollars at work.

Of course, delegates are likely having a lot more fun bickering over a partisan election than they will when they get down to the dirty business of slashing $3 billion from the biennial budget.
