Walt Mueller talks sexting, more at Covenant School tonight

Don’t know your "LOL"s from your "HAK"? (That last one is "hugs and kisses," BTW.) Anything you want to know about sexting, but are afraid to ask?

Head to Covenant School this evening for a 7pm presentation by Dr. Walt Mueller, founder of the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding (CPYU). The seminar, titled "Influences of Music and Media on Our Children," will cover everything from popular music to "sexting," according to NBC29.

Mueller has written about topics from Salvia divinorum to Britney Spears’ "Womanizer," and CPYU has covered sexting on a number of occasions. Rather than tackle the subject here in full, we’ll point you to a couple of resources to study before the evening’s presentation—a Wikipedia entry that links to media coverage (and helpfully classifies the phrase "sexting" as a portmanteau) and CPYU’s "Text and Chat Acronyms" dictionary, which, FYI, gets a tad explicit.
