It’s a chilly and wet day in the friendly confines of Scott Stadium as Virginia prepares for Big-10 foe, Indiana. Virginia (1-3) is coming off their only win on the season last week against Carolina, and Indiana (3-2) has lost two Big-10 games in a row (Michigan and Ohio State).
Kick-off is set for 3:30 PM and this is the first time these two teams have ever met on the gridiron. Before the game begins, Virginia is honoring UVA great Anthony Poindexter by retiring his jersey. As I was strolling around the parking lot before the game, former UVA player Joe Hall told me that Poindexter was his favorite Hoo of all-time. Hard to argue with that assessment. Go Hoos.
