The City of Charlottesville is getting ready for President Obama’s visit tonight in support of Democratic Congressman Tom Perriello. Besides the previously announced road closures and restricted parking, preparations for tonight’s event take many forms.

A group of Western Albemarle High School students have been camping out at the barricades since 7:30am. Although the majority of the nine students are not 18 yet, those who are will be voting for the first time.

“I want to see a lot of positive patriotism,” says a young woman with a red, white and blue sweater, who is the president of the Young Democrats at Western.
