Nearly four years after charges were dismissed against 17 students who participated in a Madison Hall sit-in, the living wage campaign at UVA—and its blog—relaunched last week. The Workers and Students United organization met on Saturday to speak on behalf of hourly employees and encourage future discussions with UVA President-elect Teresa Sullivan. The group also proposed consideration of an hourly wage of $11.44, an increase of $1.30 from the current minimum hourly wage of $10.14.
