Ball is at the 30 of Virginia and the Hoosiers FUMBLE, but they get it back. 3rd and Two Indiana passes and it’s intercepted by VIRGINIA with the ball on the Indiana 38 yard line of Indiana. Virginia has the ball and Sewell is the starting quarterback for the Hoos. Indiana’s second possession begins with Doss running the ball back to their own 22 yard line. Ball is on the UVA 47 yard line 1st and 10 for the Hoos and Sewell over-throws Tim Smith in the middle, incomplete pass. 2nd and 10 for UVA and Sewell gets thrown to the ground for a sack for Indiana. Penalty flag is thrown which looks like holding on the same Cavalier that let the sack happen! Sewell passes complete to Mikell Simpson. Gain of 8, but UVA has 4th and 9 and Howell will come in to punt. Howell punts a nice and high one which falls in the end-zone. Indiana will have the ball at their own 20 with 4:28 to go in the first quarter with the score UVA 14-Indiana 0!

Minnifield is back to receive the kick which was almost blocked by Virginia, and Chase gets only a 4 yard return.

Sewell keeps the ball to the right side, and loses one yard on the carry. 2nd and 11 UVA and Sewell has a bit too much zip on the ball, incomplete on the right sideline. 3rd and 11 Sewell completes a pass to Mikell Simpson, but short of the first down. The officials are reviewing the play to make certain it’s not a touchdown. Sure as hell looked like a TD catch to me! Sewell completes to Jackson for a nice gain of 34 yards to Jackson. Sewell almost gets sacked and throws it away. 25 seconds to go in the first half and Virginia has 2nd and 10, Sewell scrambles for a nice gain! Sewell got 22 yards on the carry! Two penalties give Indiana a chance and they throw it deep for an in-completion!
The half ends with Virginia up 30-0. We are currently witnessing the worst musical halftime performance I have ever seen in my life.
