UPDATE: Charlottesville foundation concerned Haiti clinic leveled

An update from the Building Goodness Foundation (BGF) concerning two centers close to the epicenter of the Haiti earthquake:

According to a news release, “While communications are still spotty, we received an e-mail from Leon Pamphile, the stateside Director for the Functional Literacy Mission — BGF’s nonprofit partner that supports the House of David Medical Center in Thomassin.  Pamphile noted that while he has not been able to confirm the status of the medical center, he has received a report that a nearby church was leveled and as such is concerned about the clinic.”

Yesterday, it was reported that an anonymous donor issued a $5,000 grant in support of the center, which was designed and built by BGF volunteers.
