DMB just tapped The Hold Steady as an opening act for its upcoming tour (although not for the John Paul Jones Arena gigs). The Hold Steady has a song called "Stevie Nix." Where the hell is Kevin Bacon?
- Trevor Moore, the former terror of local public access TV and dude behind "The Whitest Kids U Know," will star in Miss March, a film he co-wrote and co-directed. Isn’t Moore clever enough to know that he’s walking the thin-plotted, condom-and-Red-Bull-littered path of the American Pie series and a slew of other sex quest films? As it turns out, yes he is.
- Miss the Smashing Pumpkins or Nine Inch Nails gigs? Thanks to some persistent YouTuber named "Godieinhell2"—oof, a name for the books—you can watch clips of a few big local gigs online.
- Dave "Prime Time" Matthews nabbed himself another film role. He’ll play a character named "Colonel Schreck" in a flick titled The Other Side, which also features Alanis Morrissette and a member of Tool.
