Hyperion announced today that Oscar-winning, local-living actress Sissy Spacek will release a memoir, Barefoot Stories, in 2012, about her childhood in Texas, rise to fame, and hopefully some about life hereabouts.
Spacek, who is 61, got her start in Terrence Malick’s Badlands, won an Oscar for The Coal Miner’s Daughter and gained further traction in Carrie. Spacek recently starred alongside Bill Murray in Get Low, and alongside Bill Paxton on the best show on television "Big Love," the fourth season of which (in which Spacek stars) is available on Netflix as of February 1. Not that I’ve been counting, or anything.
