Saturday search for Morgan Harrington called off due to snow

A January 16 search for missing 20-year-old Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington, scheduled for a Saturday nearly three months from the date she disappeared during a Metallica concert at John Paul Jones Arena, has been called off due to snow on the search grounds. The website FindMorgan.com notes that a benefit concert scheduled for that evening at The Hat Factory in Richmond will take place as planned.

At present, there is still a $150,000 reward being offered for Harrington’s return or information that leads to it. On December 30, NBC29 reported that a "lead investigator" in the Harrington case claimed the girl "is either being held against her will or is no longer alive." A source in the same story said that the search for Harrington is "’nowhere near being a cold case.’" Read C-VILLE’s recap of Harrington’s disappearance and the case thus far here.
