(Re)New(ed) Cabell Hall

Governor Tim Kaine included two UVA projects on his $1.65 billion bond proposal for higher education capital improvements across the state. The University would get $77.6 million to renovate New Cabell Hall, originally slated to be demolished as part of the South Lawn project, and $37.9 million for a new information technology engineering building, to be located on Stadium Road. But to get that money, the bond package must get through the General Assembly and enough Virginians must vote "yes" in a November referendum.
