We’re up to our armpits in trash. Or at least Sherrie Hannah is. Sherrie graces our cover this week, wearing a corset she fashioned from old C-VILLEs. Our third Design Annual celebrates some of the local visionaries who remake what others discard into things that some treasure. Furniture, flooring, artwork, clothing—the limits of reuse are defined only by these folks’ imaginations. In other words, in this week’s cover story, sustainability is the mother of invention.
