The Time Traveler’s Wife (PG-13, 108 minutes) Eric Bana is a time traveler and Rachel McAdams is his wife, trying to make their marriage work even as he uncontrollably flits back and forth through his own lifespan. Adapted from the Audrey Niffenegger bestseller by Bruce Joel Rubin, who wrote Ghost and therefore probably has a handle on the whole romance/sci-fi hybrid thing. Opening Friday
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (PG-13, 144 minutes) Autobots wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons—who, in the previous film, fell, and in this one want revenge.
