All right, look: Metallica is coming to John Paul Jones Arena, and I’m about to have a freakout of Jack Black proportions. Growing up, some of my best friends were Metallica addicts; I’ve driven Jefferson Park Avenue on many a Friday morning blasting "Battery" and Ride the Lightning with an embarrassing level of enthusiasm.
Unfortunately, I have to cut my enthusiasm short this morning with these decidedly un-metal words: I have a mandatory meeting to attend. So, in brief: Metallica at John Paul Jones Arena on October 17. Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 11, at 10am, and will set you back $51.50-71.50. (Reasonable price for their mammoth shows, if you ask me.) And nothing else matters:
People, I’m throwing up metal fingers so un-ironic right now that they can be seen from the first Iron Maiden show.
