Incumbent Delegale Rob Bell and challenger Cynthia Neff square off in debate

It’s debate time in Charlottesville! Yesterday, Republican incumbent Delegate Rob Bell and Democratic challenger Cynthia Neff met at a candidate forum sponsored by the Senior Statesmen of Virginia at the Senior Center in Charlottesville.

The Newsplex reports that the two focused on issues that are near and dear to area residents: the economy and jobs.

Neff, a former IBM executive, told the audience that the current top five jobs in Virginia are “retail, office clerk, waitress, food prep and janitor,” she said. “And I think that’s problematic," said Neff, according to the Newsplex.

Bell, on the other hand, focused on making Virginia not only a national competitor for good jobs, but international as well.

The two will square off in the November 3 election.
