Virginia leads Longwood 49-27 at halftime in the first game of Tony Bennett’s tenure here at UVA. The Hoos have been led by Landesberg with 12 points, and by Zeglinski with 11. Only eight players have played for the Hoos so far, as Bennett gets comfortable with his rotation.
Longwood’s leading scorer is Antwan Carter with 13 points for the Lancers from Farmville. The attendance is a little light, I’d hazard to say there are 9000 folks here in the John Paul Jones arena.
