The Pittsburgh Steelers are on their way to their second Super Bowl in the past three years. And what’s it have to do with Charlottesville? No. 83 of course: 6’5" tight end Heath Miller, who made a name for himself playing for Al Groh at UVA. Miller had three receptions for 62 yards, second only to wide receiver Santonio Holmes, in Pittsburgh’s 23-14 win over the Baltimore Ravens. For the year, Miller scored three touchdowns and had 514 yards receiving. The Steelers face the Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl on February 1 in Tampa, Florida. Regardless of the outcome, a former Hoo will win a championship ring: Elton Brown is a back-up offensive tackle for the Cards, though rabid Cavalier fans should cheer for Pittsburgh, since UVA grad James Farrior, a linebacker, also starts for the Steelers. |
