For his reference

In his incredibly arrogant assertion that Wikipedia is not to be trusted because it doesn’t list “solid references” [“Trust issues," Mailbag, November 4, 2008], Dr. Miller apparently has never looked at Wikipedia. Wikipedia is the only encyclopedia that lists sometimes voluminous references, often for every sentence. For instance, the entry on “mathematical group” has 27 notes, 76 citations and 59 references. If Wikipedia doesn’t have a reference, it prominently displays that fact in the hope that someone will supply it.

I hope Dr. Miller isn’t as careless with his patients.
