It has been a colder summer than usual, but…is it time for Christmas already?
Guess so, because Hope Community Center is celebrating Christmas in July with a toy and clothing give away on Saturday, July 25th from 8am to 1pm.
Last December, Hope helped close to 1,600 people with a similar initiative. But there is more, among hundreds of volunteers this time around, Miss Virginia American Teen Amber Sersen will land a hand.
"People are aware of the need for toys and clothes for kids at Christmas," Joshua Bare, director of HOPE Community Center, said in a press release. "But what people don’t realize is that the need doesn’t just go away.
Kids need toys and clothes in July the same as they do in December."
