The night before the release of the latest Dave Matthews Band album, Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, David J. and company will perform at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. And, so long as you’re not catching up on those episodes of "The Office" you’ve missed, you can catch the show for free.
The Daily Press writes that Hulu, the site where Feedback watches "American Dad" when there’s nothing else on, will stream DMB’s June 1 gig exclusively on hulu.com, starting at 9pm. The concert is the centerpiece of an agreement between the band and the website to post music videos and exclusive content, including a "Scenes from Big Whiskey" documentary, starting May 28. For those of you who miss the simulcast of the June 1 gig, you can catch it on-demand shortly after the gig.
The Hulu homepage doesn’t make any mention of the DMB show yet, but this is tres exciting, no? Of all the Bonos and Bosses that could probably command a similar deal, our own DMB and Coran Capshaw managed to beat ’em to the punch. Mr. Capshaw, you have left my gob positively smacked. Way to earn that No. 1 spot.
Riddle me this, readers: After DMB rocks Hulu live, what bands or musicians would you like to see simulcast on Hulu?
