Cook to serve four years

Kerry Von Reese Cook has been sentenced to four years in prison for assaulting two city police officers at Friendship Court in August 2004, according to The Daily Progress. Cook’s conviction this year came after two mistrials. Cook was shot in the stomach during the 2004 incident and now uses a colostomy bag. He has a $10 million lawsuit pending against the police department.
