What are you working on these days?
Right now I’m working on making new music with my band while simultaneously working with Zack Orion from Casa De Chihuahua on this cool delta blues hip-hop fusion we call “Black & Bluez.”

I was probably on Facebook.

Tell us about your day job.
I’m a subcontractor for a commercial construction company based out of Richmond. We do renovations around the UVA area—mainly the UVA Hospital.
Do you have an iPhone? Any killer apps?
Nah…I’m holding out for the brain chip.
Favorite tool of the trade?
I’ve been doing so much with so little for so long, I feel like I can do anything with nothing.
Locally, who would you like to collaborate with that you haven’t yet?
The Beetnix, mainly ’cause Waterloo (emcee Louis Hampton) is my cousin. But if not, then Dave Matthews Band.
Plans to perform locally soon?
“Battle Of The Frats” hosted by The IllVille Crew.
Have you done any recent travel?
Yeah! I went to upstate New York with my girlfriend for the first time, saw Niagara Falls for the first time and gambled in a casino for the first time. All at the same time.
What’s inspiring about Charlottesville right now?
The lack of places for all the cool kids to go. It makes me want to do my thing more so we can all hang out more often.

Trading in my dreads for a hi-top fade.
Favorite snack food while you’re working on something?
PB & J with a PBR.
What upcoming event will you be getting a ticket for?
Whatever I can afford. Nowadays, it seems like artists have forgotten about the people who got ’em famous.
What have you been listening to lately?
It’s a toss-up between Dam-Funk and Jay Electronica.
If you could only bring a single article of clothing with you on a trip for a month, it would be…
A bowtie.
What item do you carry with you at all times?
My wallet.
