For those of you who missed the Flaming Lips last night at the Charlotteville Pavilion, here’s my in-depth analysis. The band was characteristically great, if not too characteristically. They can really kick it for such old dudes. It was also nice to see that the rest of the band isn’t forced to wear ridiculous outfits anymore while Wayne gets to look great in some well-tailored suit with the bowtie undone. The looking ridiculous was left to the local fans that lined each side of the stage.
