Charlottesville’s City Market is gearing up to a close on November 7, yet, it has set a new sales record, according to a city press release.
According to market Manager Stephanie Anderegg-Maloy, this year’s sales rose to $1,085,646.11.
Once the City Market shutters, it will be reborn as the Holiday Market in the same Water Street location with extended hours from 8am to 2pm until the Saturday before Christmas, December 19.
According to the press release, in 2002 sales added up to $413,339.
