Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (PG, 120 minutes) This is the film of book one of Rick Riordan’s fantasy novel series about a teenager (Logan Lerman) who discovers that a) the Greek gods do exist, b) they are quite unruly and c) one of them is his father. The director is Chris Columbus, who made a couple of the Harry Potter movies, among other less successful things, and the co-stars include Uma Thurman, Pierce Brosnan, Roario Dawson, Catherine Keener, and Steve Coogan.
