The 1994 McArthur Fellow returns to UVA tonight for a panel hosted by UVA Architecture prof George Sampson called Design Thinking Mashup, a three-day event that explores "collaboration, creative research, and community, using Architecture and the Arts as exemplars of creative problem solving techniques."
Also speaking tonight is Warren Berger, author of Glimmer: How Design Can Transform Your Life, and Maybe Even the World, and representatives from UVA’s arts departments.
Jones’ panel visit tonight—“Chance, Indeterminacy & the Creative Process"—is the beginning of a conversation that will continue when returns in April to use UVA as part of a creative process that will lead to an evening-length work, set to premiere next January.
