It’s finally here football fans. Virginia and Virginia Tech will play for the Commonwealth Cup Saturday. Early Vegas lines have the Hokies favored by 14 points. Yuck…
Virginia wins again at the John Paul Jones Arena 76-55 against Oral Roberts University. The announced attendance was 8,828, but it looked like to me that there were only about 5 thousand folks there.
Virginia had a chance in this one, but ultimately did not have enough in the tank to beat a much superior Clemson Tiger team. Tailback C.J. Spiller, and former Fork Union speedster, and wide-out Jacoby Ford were as good as advertised!
The Cancun Challenge is actually here in Charlottesville this evening. The 1-1 Wahoos play host to the Rider University Broncos tonight at 7 pm. Las Vegas oddsmakers have the Hoos as surprising 5 point favorites!
Hoos 36 Rider 22 Half-Time! Mike Scott has 13 so far in the contest at JPJ.
The Hoos are now 2-1 on the young 2009-2010 hoops season. Mike Scott led all scorers with 17, as Rider had only one player in double-figures.
Steve Greer continued his fine play from the linebacker position, as did Luke Kuechly for Boston College. Virginia is now 3-7 on the season. Yikes!
Virginia is between and four and five point underdog at home today to the BC Eagles. Go Hoos. Check back for updates at halftime and after the game. Marc Verica is not dressed out at all for the Hoos!
It’s been a very slow moving affair so far in Charlottesville. Sewell has thrown one INT, and the hoos have not moved the ball very well.
