CRHA new executive director announced

Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority (CRHA) announced a new executive director last night. Charlottesville native and former CRHA deputy director Randy Bickers replaced Noah Schwartz, who left the post on December 12 after accepting a job in Arizona.

State cuts $12.4M more from UVA

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Leonard Sandridge said UVA’s state funding will be reduced by $23 million over the next two years: $12.4 million for 2009-2010 in addition to earlier cuts of $10.6 million, for 2008-2009.
