Film added to Festival of the Photograph

The second annual LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph starts the show nearly a week early with a screening of Control, a biopic about the Manchester, England, punk act Joy Division and the life and death of the group’s lead singer, Ian Curtis. The film will screen at Vinegar Hill Theatre on Friday, June 6, at 9:30pm, for a ticket price of $10.

New president of Thomas Jefferson Foundation announced

Months after the November announcement that Daniel P. Jordan, the 24-year veteran and chief executive of Monticello’s governing body, would retire, a press release from the Thomas Jefferson Foundation has announced that Leslie Greene Bowman will take over on November 1 of this year. Bowman’s appointment is timed to coincide with the opening of the 42,000 square foot, $55 million Thomas Jefferson Visitor Center and Smith Education Center.
