![]() Customers of Reid’s Market on Preston Avenue won’t have any more room in the crowded aisles to make their purchases, but it looks like there will be more room out of sight to hold more goodies that can soon stock the shelves. The city Planning Commission recommended approval of a special use permit, making it promising that City Council will allow the grocery store to build a 3,333-square-foot addition in the back. Plans also call for some added landscaping and a new staircase. The Commission was seemingly more enthusiastic than Reid’s co-managers Billy Clements and Kim Miller. "Long live Reid’s!" shouted Commissioner Cheri Lewis at the hearing’s conclusion. |
