By way of the transitive property, the Cavaliers are better than the storied Wildcats. Kentucky blew its homeopener to the Virginia Military Institute on November 14, losing 111-103 to the Keydets, but the Cavaliers weren’t about to let the same thing happen to them, winning 107-97 in their first game of the season. Sophomore power forward Mike Scott and freshman forward Sylvan Landesberg (above) combined for 54 points, and Scott tied a school record with 10 offensive rebounds.
