Doubletree Hotel sold

First there was “Pimp My Ride,” now there’s “pimp my hotel.” Purchased last week by Denver’s Richfield Hospitality, Inc. from Hotel Fund Ltd., the Doubletree Hotel (off Route 29N) will receive $2.5 million in upgrades to its meeting areas, rooms and restaurant.
“It’s going to be really nice when these guys are done,” says Bill Moyer. His firm Donohoe/Corfac International brokered the sale.

The Doubletree Hotel is getting a hefty $2.5M investment from new owners Richfield Hospitality, Inc., a company based in Denver.

First opened in 1985, the Hilton was purchased just a few years later and rechristened the Sheraton. A decade later the hotel was dubbed the Doubletree. Thankfully, it will keep its current name as it undergoes a makeover. Renovations will start almost immediately with a completion date targeted for this summer.
