NEH awards Charlottesville more than $800,000 in grants

As part of the National Endowment for the Humanities’ (NEH) recent $20 million grant cycle, a few projects in Charlottesville stand to receive as much as a combined $1 million in funding. Four UVA projects—including an electronic archive of a 14th century poem, a seven-volume collection of the papers of George Washington and a two-year summer workshop series in digital scholarship—will receive funding, alongside a $193,693 grant to the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities.

A total of 10 projects in Virginia will share a total of roughly $2.1 million in grants. A list of all recipients, in PDF format, is available here.
