Have your say on the budget, Google broadband tonight at City Council

Want to know where city funds are going? Then head over to City Council for the first public hearing on the FY 2011 proposed budget—or, follow along at the C-VILLE Weekly Twitter account.

City Manager Gary O’Connell recently presented Council with a budget that had no cuts in services for city residents, but this will still likely be a budget year for the books. Also at the meeting, Council will hear a report about the application that the City of Charlottesville, Albemarle County and UVA are collectively submitting for a trial run of Google’s high speed broadband network.

Check back tomorrow for a review of the meeting, and for a comprehensive look at the proposed city budget.
