LOOK3 announces next three photography festival curators

Those who are upset with LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph for taking a year off in 2010 might be encouraged by its all-star cast of curators, announced today, for 2011 through 2013.

The next festival, in 2011, will be curated by the husband-and-wife duo of Kathy Ryan, photo editor for the New York Times Magazine and 2008 guest-curator at the New York Photo Festival, and Scott Thode, a freelance photo editor and curator. David Griffin, director of photography for National Geographic magazine—’nuff said—will run the 2012 show, with Melissa Harris, editor-in-chief of Aperture magazine curating in 2013. You may recall Harris, who interviewed Sylvia Plachy at last year’s festival.

Also sounds like the festival has committed itself to a three years on, one year off schedule. See Ryan’s and Thode’s iteration in early June…of next year. How do you think they’ll stack up to this year’s curator, MaryAnne Golon?
