Virginia gets seventh win in a row 75-57 over #23 Miami

Saturday evening at the now-rocking JPJ the surprising home-team Virginia Wahoos (11-4, 3-0) kept it rolling with their 7th straight victory. The last time Virginia started the season 3-0 in the ACC, Jeff Jones was the coach, and Bill Clinton was President.

Virginia was led once again by super second-year Sylven Landesberg who finished with 18 points. Miami, who finished their horrific trip to the Commonwealth (lost to VA Tech also), was led by James Dews with 13 points. Virginia first-year point-guard Jontel Evans got his first ever career start for the Wahoos, and did not have a single turnover in the victory.

Exciting times are ahead for this rejuvenated and first-place Wahoo team. Go Hoos! Virginia returns to action Monday at home against UNCW @ 7p.m. Can the Hoos keep it going?
