The parents of missing VT student Morgan Harrington held a press conference yesterday to announce that a community search to help find their 20-year-old daughter will take place this weekend.
The Harringtons were joined yesterday by Ed Smart, father of one-time kidnapping victim Elizabeth Smart.
According to a press release on www.findmorgan.com, the community search will begin at 9am tomorrow at the Cavalier Inn in Charlottesville and will continue at the same time on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8.
For those who want to volunteer, a community meeting will be held tonight at 7pm at the Cavalier Inn’s Jefferson Room to discuss the logistics of the search.
Harrington went missing on October 17 near the John Paul Jones Arena while attending a Metallica concert. The family has created the Find Morgan Fund to help funding the search.
The Jefferson Area Crime Stoppers established a $100,000 reward for information or tips leading to Harrington’s recovery. Metallica has added $50,000 to that reward.
