We love eating. And we love Charlottesville, where there’s more than 400 places (we counted) to satisfy a craving. So we wondered: Is it actually possible to dine here ’round-the-clock? The answer, our grumbling-tummied friends, is yes. We came up with a gluttonous experience for you from sun up to sundown and all those hours in-between. Don’t get us wrong—we’re not suggesting you work your way through this list in one 24-hour period (though, if you do, please report back around hour four, when we predict you’ll start regretting, well, everything). But we do suggest trying each of the restaurants we’ve recommended in the hour we recommend them: At that time, some are blissfully empty and some are jam-packed (but, in some cases, that’s part of the fun). We’ll take you from grits at The Pigeon Hole to beers at South Street, from a giant slice at Benny’s to tacos at Two Guys. And, while you may not think you’d be hungry at 4am, you’ll reconsider when the friendly staffers at Littlejohn’s entice you into a Chipotle Chicken. Whatever you do, eat responsibly.
